Racing all season
Two racecourses, the Rowley Mile and the July Course, with major festivals in May, July and October.

West Suffolk, Suffolk
The home of British horseracing: a market town with two racecourses and visitors all season long.
Why Newmarket
Newmarket is the country's largest racehorse training centre, with more than 3,000 horses stabled around the town and, the county council estimates, one in three local jobs linked to racing. Around 18,900 people live in the town.
Race days bring the crowds. The Rowley Mile and July Course host the Guineas Festival in May, the July Festival and the Future Champions Festival in October, and Palace House, home of the National Horseracing Museum, sits right in the centre. Add a twice-weekly market and a direct train to Cambridge, and there's footfall to build on.
