Felixstowe

The Garden Resort of East Anglia: four miles of coast, a regenerated seafront and the UK's largest container port.

Why Felixstowe

The case for Felixstowe

Felixstowe is two towns in one. It's home to the UK's largest container port, and it's a seaside resort with four miles of sandy and shingle beaches, Grade II listed Seafront Gardens and fine Edwardian architecture along the front. Around 24,200 people live there.

The seafront gives people reasons to come and stay a while: the pier, the art deco Spa Pavilion, Beach Street's independent boutiques and street food, and Landguard Fort. East Suffolk Council is regenerating the South Seafront, and land north of the town is earmarked for a new garden neighbourhood.
